I was affiliated with Local Colors from October 3, 2021 to October 3, 2022.

As a member of this
co-op gallery, artists would take turns working four unpaid 4 hour shifts a month where they informed patrons about upcoming events, answered any questions, and assisted patrons when they purchased art work from a show.
During my contracted year, I managed the social media for the gallery on Instagram and Facebook, promoting each artist individually and as a collective. I served on the hanging committee and helped hang every monthly show. I curated my own designated wall space as well.
I participated in the monthly general meetings where the collective discussed
problems, voted to take action, and planned events.
I was part of the marketing committee and event committee and helped plan the particulars necessary to having successful events.
I oversaw the gallery's email subscription and sent email blasts for upcoming shows and events. The only commission received came from artwork sold through the gallery.
As the head of the Social Media Committee for Local Colors Gallery (Oct 2021-present) I used Canva to design every featured artist and guest artist show announcement. I then promoted them on the gallery's Instagram and Facebook profiles.

I also designed the graphics used to assist in promotions, marketing, and recruiting. The graphics announced upcoming events and new calls for artists on social media and for in-person flyer announcements.
